FREE Admission in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day


FLINT INSTITUTE OF ARTS

The FIA is pleased to partner with the Flint Public Library (FPL) in providing free activities in celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. 12:00pm-6:00pm Galleries open free of charge.

FIA's Isabel Hall, 4:00pm. Performance by the Gamma Delta Kudos and the Kappa Leadership League FIA's Art School Studios, 4:00pm - 6:00pm. Symbols of Promise - Using recognizable symbols, families will create a hanging piece that illustrates their promise to walk in Martin Luther King, Jr's. footsteps.

2:00pm. Hear Dr. King's "I have a Dream" speech and see an inspirational presentation by the Gamma Delta Kudos and the Kappa Leadership League under the direction of John Rhymes, coach and mentor. Guest Speaker: Dr. Lawrence Reynolds, pediatrician, humanitarian and activist. Musical Guests: Nannette and Gil Benman
